Winter sings~

Can you hear it?

Sometimes

 cold and shadowy winter sings

in tones so low you'll  miss them

if you don't put on mittens and scarf and squint into the setting sun.

Then the quiet aria becomes a duet,

then a quartet,

until soon

all nature raises its voice in harmony.

Do you hear it?

Do you join the chorus?

Ruth the picture and the words are so beautiful. Is it a photograph or painting.... How very lovely.

You're a wonderful poet, and your photo hurts my eyes. It's beautiful!

Oh, yes. Peaceful. I needed that reminder today.

Thanks,

Beautiful poem and picture! You have amazing talent.

I am afraid my part of the choirs is the whinning part. "I'm cold", "I need a nose warmer", "I hate the cold", "Why does it have to get dark so early" etc.

A lovely conjunction of word and art - and yes, I sing along :)
